Frequently Asked Questions
Answers about marking, materials, preparation, and safety requirements.
Why is it necessary to mark parking lots?
A properly marked parking lot accommodates the maximum number of cars and makes parking easier for drivers. In addition, the risk of scratches or door dings is reduced. A well-marked parking lot is a great business card for shops and companies — the parking lot is the first thing a visitor sees.
What material should be used to mark an asphalt parking lot?
We recommend road marking paint. Proper road marking paint is durable, and the lines will last for several years. If the surface is new and you want a very long-lasting solution, we recommend thermoplastic lines. Their durability is several times better compared to paint, but thermoplastic requires a smooth and good-quality surface.
What needs to be done before marking a parking lot?
It’s best if the parking lot is empty of cars during marking. This allows the area to be cordoned off with safety cones and tape. The surface must also be cleaned of heavy dirt beforehand. For preparation, we use brushes and compressed air.
How long does road marking take?
The work itself is quick, and in summer weather the paint dries in 15–20 minutes. In principle, the parking lot can be used immediately after marking. We stay on-site until the paint has dried.
How to prevent outsiders from parking in your lot?
Traffic and prohibition signs are a good way to prevent outsiders from using your parking lot, as well as information boards with text such as “by permit only.” Through us, you can order all the necessary signs with installation, and together we’ll find the best solution.
There’s a pothole in the asphalt — how does this affect marking?
Of course, you cannot draw lines over potholes. Holes should be filled beforehand with a repair mix designed for this purpose, and then marking can be carried out. We can perform smaller asphalt repairs before parking lot marking.
Is parking lot marking expensive?
Generally, no — especially considering the benefits it brings. We offer parking lot marking services with the best price-to-quality ratio, so you will definitely get a good deal. Send us an inquiry or give us a call, and together we’ll find the best solution for your project.
Why is it necessary to mark production or warehouse floors?
Safety markings are essential for ensuring a safe and efficient work environment. According to OSHA, LEAN, and 5S standards, markings are applied to separate pedestrian and machine routes both inside the building and outside on the premises. Markings also define areas for goods storage and temporary holding. Prohibitive lines improve safety, doorways are kept clear of goods, and fire extinguisher locations are marked. It’s also recommended to mark areas where protective equipment such as goggles, ear protection, or respirators must be worn. Additionally, evacuation routes and emergency exits should be marked. Safety symbols such as forklift zones, restricted areas, or “Do not step” are also useful.
What material should be used to mark production and warehouse floors?
The choice of material depends on the condition of the floor and the load expected on the markings. On good-quality floors, we use 2K epoxy paint, which is extremely durable. For worn floors, we can use polyurethane paint, road marking paint with varnish, or alkyd enamel paint. In addition to markings, we also supply standard safety signs as boards or stickers.
How to mark if the layout of the production or warehouse is changing?
If you know that the layout will be changed, we recommend using special floor marking tapes and stickers. Their durability is good, but removal is much easier than paint. Tapes are also useful for testing the best layout solutions before finalizing. Later, suitable layouts can be painted over permanently.
Is workplace safety signage in production and warehouses really necessary?
